You have to share those drives on your network, and it will work fine. It has a grate search function wich really comes in handy, considering that I have over 3800 artists in my MP3 albums folder! I use it to put files up on my Beatles group on whatsapp. It works better than dropbox for that.

Tonido is running in your system tray, that is why it is saying it is already running. You have to right click on it or shift F10 on it and click on where it says open. Then it will ask you to enter in your Tonido password. You might want to make sure the app is not running on your iDevice

You will get this if you did not update the programs applications. This is not meaning the app from the apple store, this is meaning the applications for the program. Look under the general tab on the Tonido site, after logging in to see if it says there are any application updates. If nothing
