I loved playing with this app, but it seems to have fizzled. Has anyone heard
anything in the last couple of months? It's been long enough that I may try
replaying it again. I seem to recall more dimensions coming out in 2.0, but
as far as I know, that hasn't been released yet.

it in the list, try using the search field.

You have the correct app, version 2.2.1, which is VoiceOver accessible but
is not the soon-to-be-released version I wrote about.
The current version works reasonably fine with VoiceOver as well but things
get much better in the next version which should be available soon.
