Regardless of my opinion on this, I wanted to fill in those reading this.
Vibhijain, aged 13 according to his userpage [1] joined WMF projects about 3
months ago, in that time, he has requested sysops on 2 or 3 indic-language

Thanks Salmaan for sharing this information about Vibhijain. I am so far

Well I have placed the chapter request with a lot of discussion with Mayur, a
member of the Grand Advisory Committee. We have the support of many hindi
wikipedians including two crats, Mayur and Ashish. And we will soon get the
support from more 20 wikipedians. Wikimedia India chapter is mainly
Ravi,
What Google did can pretty much be summarized as a 'Half hearted attempt'.
However, I had posted last week, a link to Microsoft's API and
transliteration tools. Personally, I find it better than Google.
The only catch is that Microsoft requires you to link back to them.

Vibhi,
That the India chapter is concentrated ONLY on South Indian languages is a
major misconception.
While I agree, the Chapter is headed in Bangalore and the head of the
chapter is an admin of the Telugu Wikipedia, do note that it is a pan India
matter.
Hope this clears it up.

I think Vibhi, you are thinking of a outsider point of view. There is no we

Hi Vibhi,
A chapter is not a goal in itself, it is more of a tool to facilitate
activities that require a legal body to perform them.
Therefore, I would encourage you to collect those 20 people around you and
start having meetups, little outreach events and so on. Once you feel, that

You are not articulating your position quite well here. There already is a

Can someone else from your supporters speak up? Mayur, are you reading this?

Bro, just chill.
I think you are going a little overboard on this matter.
It's not about Personal contributions OR joining date.

Hi
I'm sorry you feel that way about me. Please understand that I value your
contributions and this is nothing personal, but I have also been trying to
talk sense into you for over a month now, on IRC and on-wiki. I said I
really liked your enthusiasm but you need to learn first how things work.
Hi all,
In reply to above posts i want to make one point clear that I
agreed to create a new chapter in Delhi with Vibhijain but that is just a
proposal and this will be done if we get atleast 20 Participants. Two
options are better than one.As of now we Observed that whole Wikimedia
Vibhi, I suggest you take it cool.
I appreciate your enthusiasm in Sa and especially Pi wikipedias; No one is
belittling your contributions. First: there was, and is (as of now) approved
admin/crat policy on sa wikipedia, and you cannot quote policies which do
not exist. Also, I don't think you

I would agree to the point that Mayur has made about having an

Perhaps using the phrases Wikimedians in Delhi, as opposed to Delhi

Having a new Delhi chapter could just be dropping a match in a haystack - for a
spate of new regional chapters all over India. All I see this creating is
politics and mayhem. It would be like the BCCI - 30+ state level associations
making up the national society. Something that we can avoid
