Just to clarify:
I don't want to comment on Saagar's actions as a Marketting team member for
PRagyaan.
As an individual, he helped me a lot, and sacrificed his event for this.

Dear all,
Also, a gentle reminder, there are several students who subscribe to this
list after outreach sessions and though they may not respond, they would
definitely read a mail concerning their college. Maybe we should be more
careful so as not to ruin relations forever?
Just an idea.
Cheers
I'm told in a Facebook post is that we have a silver lining - that you have
four new editors thanks to the Outreach so imho I'd say your event was not
a fiasco but a success for us in retrospect.

Hey Srikanth!
There's no need to apologize to me. The organizers cut short our time
because of their problems with the internet connection and the fact that
they had to shoe-horn a sponsors presentation in the same time slot as ours.

Hey Srikanth R,
Too bad this happened but I see this more as an analysis of what went wrong
with the fest than what went wrong with the Wiki session. In the past it
has happened that we conduct a session only with 4-5 people due to
miscommunication and no facilities but at the end of the day, I go

Some where else, someone learnt[1] time is scarcest resource and I think it
applies to our context as well. I am out of here.
This is getting a bit silly guys.
There is no huge issue here, from what I read, some volunteers were treated
badly, I am sorry for everyone involved. But let's move on, stuff like this
happens all across the world. Learn what you can from it, and try to avoid

Hold on. We're getting derailed here. Indian standards? I send an
email to the MD of KGISL at 3am requesting a room for Wikipedia next
week and get a reply at 6am saying Yes. Was it worth it? For this, it
is worth it if the crowd understands how we work. Which didn't happen.

And regarding an 'informal agreement', I am not trying to pinch here but an
'informal MoU' kind of sounds self-contradictory, no? Also it would be
great if we could have a copy of it publicly, just for future reference on
informal/formal extents of agreements.
thanks much

So, why didn't they understand? What went wrong? You admitted that you
didn't prepare in advance. Also, do you want help with making
easier-understandable presentations? I want that analysis in this mail and
not a report on how they managed it badly. Let's talk of things we can
control.

I was just trying to ask why this is a great fiasco. We do at least 4-5
outreach events every month and maybe some self evaluation will help.
That's all. Sorry for making it stupid , not my intention.

An MoU is a Memorandum of Understanding, not Memorandum of Agreement.
It's not a binding contract. Hence it was informal. Also, wasn't it me
who told Nitika and Naveen bout the Mou in the first place? Makes it
my fault. We should've said no at that point itself. I'll stay away

Hey Srikanth,
Let's start fresh. I think you put in tremendous effort and it is a shame
that you put in so much of work and call it a great fiasco. In my humble
opinion, every experience is good to learn. I was simply asking you to
concentrate more on the session and tell us what was good and bad
I think the discussion has gone off on a bit of a tangent here.
As far as the hospitality (or lack of it) goes, its not *that *big a deal
and certainly does not deter me from conducting any academies in the
future. (and it shouldn't deter Srikanth as well)
That being said we should not overlook
