I have used this way of doing it with FT1000MP, FT1000MP MarkV and FTdx3000
operating as JW6VDA, and a similar setup also works with my IC7300 from my home
station, OH6VDA. Originally I was put on the right track by Michael 5P1KZS.
To operate SPLIT (to work JA) on 160 meters:

FWIW, I've had some problems lately with Omnirig 1.19, WSJT-X 2.1.2 and
Swisslogforwindows. The radio is a FT-1000MP. Using "fake it", the radio did
not return to the listening frequency on VFO A, but stayed on the Tx frequency.
Trying a fallback to Omnirig 1.16 and 1.18 did not solve the

For what it's worth, at OH2K club station we use Signalink, FT1000MP (I realise
it's a different rig) and Windows 7 64 bit, and have had no problem with F/H.

It doesn't make qrm unless you start calling on the DX's frequency. But in that
case it's a nuisance. I have no problem with lots of stations calling me as
long as the stay off my tx frequency.

This also happened in the 2.0.0-RC# versions. A workaround is to resize the
window in v1.9.1, and then the problem does not occur, but since we are
planning to stop

With all due respect, I suppose the point of having this list is for RC users
to report possible bugs to the developers. You are hardly encouraging the

For all it's worth, I was checking it yesterday for some hours (changed the
colour from red to something better for my eyes because I'm red/green colour
blind, and wow, most of the guys in EU are non-lotw users. Incidently, NONE
were on 14078 and 7078 with the 77 bit code. Very disappointing,
I installed it at OH2K, my club station. Computer is Windows 7 desktop, and I
installed it in a directory I called c:/wsjt/wsjt-x-2_0, and tried the new FT8
format.
To get on 14.078 and 7.078, I had to insert the frequencies in the frequency
list, as they were not on the drop-down frequency
Very interesting review. One question: You mention version 1.9.2. The lates
general release is 1.9.1, isn't it?

Without taking a stand in this discussion, it might be a point to consider that
about 10% of men are red-green color blind. So any color not green or red would
actually be helpful for us color blind people.
