Even though I have it checked, I'm not seeing blank lines in Rx Freq window
as on some older releases, say 713x.
Haven't used it for a while, so just FYI not big deal for me.

If it's feasible it would be nice for log window to pop into foreground,
maybe as always on top, when prompt for log is checked.
Prompt could be 73 as now and/or RRR as in typical fast mode like MSK.

With regard to Wolfgang’s observation, I notice that when Mode is changed from
JT65 (for EME back to JT65+JT9, and VHF/Micro settings cancelled), then the
VHF/Microwave settings are removed from the main screen - without having to
restart…It seems resetting Mode is a solution.

first off, I have a very old computer running win-7/64 .. however, I was
running r1778 yesterday msk144, calling CQ here and there for 2 hours.
Watched as several stations reported reception.
this morning I tried the same circle-the compass at 0400 .. again,
several stations reported reception on
check your processor utilization with task manager.
see if there is a svchost hogging the cpu.
if there is, rick click and end process tree to see if that helps.

That has been discussed before. It's Windows behavior. You can force WSTJ-X
to come to the front which will bring the log window to the front toobut
that's too intrusive and considered bad behavior for a window to force itself
to the front.

Last night I ran the audio trouble shooter in windows 10, which told me to
turn off optimizations. I turned off the optimizations and I have not see
a lockup in about 12 hours where they were pretty reliable after a few
hours. Might be an easy fix for others with this issue to try.

That icon is for jtsdk-py which is used to build wsjt. I build wsjtx using
jtsdk-qt. Sanity check: you are building WSJTX, right? I mean, AFAIK WSJT
is fixed at release 10 but things often change without notice.
