It is worth a try. A
to write external methods in Python
*is* a good place?
Can you, or someone else on the list, give me a suitable homework
assignment for a first Zope programming project? I was toying with the
idea of writing a checkbook register in Zope, but I think it might be
beyond my capacities right now.
Tha
-let
command was wrong.
I also tried things like
# got a syntax value for
dtml-var here
#same problem here.
Is there an easy way to do this?
Thanks in advance,
Rick

Here is a perplexing problem I am experiencing. First, I was able to
compile the MySQL database adapter (MySQLdb) for WIN2000 and connect
successfully to a database I set up on Windows. I set up a ZSQL method to
return rows from the database. Then I set up a DTML method to iterate
over the row
It is also possible to set up an ODBC connection to Excel. Depending on your
background, this might
be simpler to set up. See the Excel help for the fine details. (No VB programming at
all :-).

Did I not look
hard enough? Is there a better way?
The charts do not have to be live - the information changes at known times weekly, so
I could run
external processes to create image files that are served using LocalFS, if necessary.
Thanks,
