I installed my Pacesetter short throw shifter today! My first impressions
was WOW! I drove the car to the local parts store to get a new knob b/c I
had to cut mine off on account of Nissan's wonderful glue techniques. When I
drove it, it felt sooo damn tight and short I got a little nervious, then I
installed the new knob I got from Pepboys for $20 bux and it felt even
better. The throw is definitely shorter, although I wouldn't mind taking an
inch off the top of the shifter. It is more aesthetically pleasing too! It
took about 2 hrs to install, plus about a 1/2 hr once I realized I didn't
bang out the heat shield enough. All in all I love the shifter feel and
would recommend it to anyone who doesn't have one. I would also like to
question those who have cut an inch or so off the top of the shifter. How
did you cut it? Did you just take a hacksaw to the top? Thanks for your
input! My next projects include: a custom mesh grill, Nis-Knacks projector
lights, shaved OEM antenna w/ a Fuba replacement...Stay tuned. I will have
pictures up with all these mods done by the end of this month!!!(hopefully )

Thanks,
Greg Taylor
