That works too. But a vice is hard and spiky, a tire is nice and soft. If
you want to keep the shift knob, that is. I was poor, so I'm still using
mine. The gear positions are all worn off, so now I don't know where all
the gears are. I just guess and randomly shift. That's why I bog so much.
I sometimes shift from first gear to 5th gear, thinking it's second gear. I
like to go from 5th gear to first gear too, just to hear the weird noises my
engine makes at 13K rpm's.

Well, I didn't do that since I didn't want to bend anything important down
there. Hmm...go figure, yours was probably easier to twist off at 300
miles, while the glue was still ok, than mine at 115K miles, which
theoretically should've made the glue less sticky, so therefore, would've
made it easier to take off.

Sorry, I was talking out of my baby monkey ass again. I'm not a full
fledged monkey like you yet. I'm trying though. See, the notchy feeling is
only there with the stock shifter bushing. With the ES one, there is no
more notchyness.

Time to find some more monkey friends, rather than your fellow crackheads.
Hehehehe.
