What you're "missing" is this. My complaint is relatively simple. As I said, I followed the original uninstall instructions to the letter. They didn't work. I also said that I am uncomfortable messing with the OS, the .bat, and the config.sys files. You may well know a lot about Windows and operating systems. I don't.
It seems to me pretty obvious that any software mfr that provides "simple" instructions to load or unload their program from a system should work. . The second set of instructions that came from ZA included the warning that "following these instructions may cause operational damage to your system" or words to that effect. That should be enough to scare anyone. What you're missing is that not all of us here are computer wizards. We just want the damn things to work, and we want programs to do what they say they'll do without aggravation. Along with most others here, I appreciate your help when problems like this arise. But fooling with OS is well beyond the scope of the expertise of most of us here, I think.
