And milk, and lots of other liquids. That's no problem. They all have plenty of salt and other ions. Blood contains, for example, some 3,000 ppm or so of salt. I'm sure someone has a more accurate figure, but it is huge compared to the silver ion content in cs. We use ion concentrations of 20ppm or less. That is 150 times less than the salt in blood, and it's like searching for 20 pennies in a stack a mile high. Also, except for electrochemical dialysis, nobody uses electrolyis like we do in making cs. So we are much more sensitive to contamination.
