Stefan,

Thanks so much for the patch, I can confirm that there are no
artifacts visibile for 16:9 content scaled to a 4:3 screen. There are
still artifacts visible when watching low quality american sitcoms,
but as I have no interest in them I should be able to manage without..

One or two new issues have cropped up, there is a square section of
the screen roughly 40 pixels square that occaisonally shows a
different colour than what should be there, it's almost like the quick
mask in photoshop, the image data is there howevere the colours are
wrong.

The location of the square changes and it isn't always there... any ideas?

Also, I've seen little or no improvement in the audio sync with the
video. I'm suffering from the audio going out of sync every 45 seconds
and taking 4-8 seconds to sync back up, before it loses sync again.
Sometimes I change a channel and the audio can take 20 seconds before
it is in sync and does not stay that way for long.

Is this problem related to your programming, a deficiency in my setup,
a vdr problem or something that is know about and cannot be fixed?

I can provide any log/config files you would need.

thanks
