Realtime previews is a timesaver. DX and OpenGL, provide me, right now the
ability to preview specular, diffuse, and normal maps etc before export.
Marmoset Toolbag has seen success because it offers an easy interface to
preview this kind of output, in what could easily be a rendertree preset.

I haven't touched mental ray in years, it's detrimental to my process.
