Not sure about the skin weights stuff in the beta. I did one module to do export and import weights at generation time. But I remove it from the first release, since I want to change some stuff.
This version is using Pickle, I think the original Gear skin export/import was xml. However I didn't make anything to exchange the data between maya and softimage. My recommendation for Maya skinning is ngSkintools. This plugin is free and works really well. ---------------------------------------------------- Miquel Campos www.miquel-campos.com On Thu, Jan 29, 2015 at 7:00 AM, Cesar Saez <[email protected]> wrote: > This is great! > Looks promising, thanks Miquel! > > On Wed, Jan 28, 2015 at 2:37 PM, Jeremie Passerin <[email protected]> > wrote: > >> I think I had that in the mGear beta, but it was crap and crashing with >> big geometries. >> Miquel ? >> >> On 28 January 2015 at 09:29, Mario Reitbauer <[email protected]> >> wrote: >> >>> You hurt my feelings now :p >>> Btw, can you load xsi gear rig descriptions or skin weights in maya ? >>> >>> Why am I asking actually..
