"He is someone with a great deal of respect among the prisoners.  We believe that he may be someone involved in wanting rights for his people."  Daphne was trying not to over-emphasize the resistance since it seemed to be in the very early stages.

She sat back, her mind running down the different avenues of
possibility.  "How much assistance do you think they would accept frrrom
Starrrfleet orrr the Klingons?"  She herself was wondering how much
assistance they could offer right now, given the circumstances and the
shape of the fleet.

"It is questionable.  They do not seem to trust outsiders.  They don't really respect us, and they will have to respect us in order to consider us allies.  I think that if we can earn their respect, then they would accpet our help."
