You need to look at FM 7-31 "Storage of Aerosol Products" as well as FM 4-3N
"Medium and High Expansion Foam"

Subject: Aerosols and hi-ex foam

Dear colleagues,

NFPA 11 - 2007 reads in paragraph
6.3.2 Medium- and high-expansion foam systems shall not be used on fires in
the following hazards:
(1)... skip...
(5) Liquefied flammable gas

Does anyone of you know if it is the intention of this paragraph to prevent
that storage of aerosol cans will be protected by high-expansion foam?
We are looking at aerosol cans that contain some butane and/or propane as
propellant, besides a flammable liquid like paint and solvent.
NFPA 30B only speaks about sprinkler; it doesnot tell us wether it is
possible or not to protect storage of aerosols with foam.

Are there any testresults available regarding the protection of storage of
aerosol cans with high expansion foam?
