Thom, The FM datasheets didn't help me any further: FM 7-31 does not mention foam at all. FM 4-3N has only 3 pages and points to NFPA 11A. I'm open for other suggestions...

(5) Liquefied flammable gas Does anyone of you know if it is the intention of this paragraph to prevent that storage of aerosol cans will be protected by high-expansion foam? We are looking at aerosol cans that contain some butane and/or propane as propellant, besides a flammable liquid like paint and solvent. NFPA 30B only speaks about sprinkler; it doesnot tell us wether it is possible or not to protect storage of aerosols with foam. Are there any testresults available regarding the protection of storage of aerosol cans with high expansion foam? Frans Stoop TOS architecture & fire protection Netherlands
