Would Apendix 8.17.2.4.1 indicate that the intent of the code is to require that the 4" must tie in to a 4" main?
It would seem that the language in this section needs a bit of clarification. Would it be wise to modify 8.17.2.4.1.2 to refer to 8.17.2.3 for the size of the main? Or, if it is decided the actual intent is to allow such a connection, the apendix needs to be changed.
