I will try that plugin but it's a big job messing with all that stuff. for people who like BMF it would be better to give them a pluginm which would be a simple job for the developers. My tree structre mixes genres and artists. Except the Genres are simplified just like record stores do. So if you want to buy an album at Virgin Records you look in the world music or classical or country etc section. Some special record stores, like classical stores, then break further. To get this you would have to edit all the tags in the albumns and miss out extra genre detail which would otherwise fill the genre list. Personally i think with a tree structure it would be better to allow people to add shortcuts Windows Start Menu style. so there are multiple ways to reach the same album in the tree.
