Just to confirm, if you like a structure like this Custom Browse will
not be the best way to do it.

Some questions to clarify how you would like it to work. If we use your
sample shown above:

On which level in this structure do you expect so see cover art ?
- On the top level when you have just entered BMF ?
- After you have clicked on Classical ? Which album cover arts would be
shown and where would the cover.jpg files be ?
- After you have clicked on Bach ? Which album cover arts would be
shown and where would the cover.jpg files be ?

I haven't looked at the SlimServer code regarding this, but if the code
is folder based and not database based, it might be possible to
implement this by checking all sub folders for a cover.jpg and show
that.

Of course that would assume that you haven't embedded your cover arts
in the MP3/FLAC files as tags and that you haven't got several albums
stored in the same directory. The advantage for a solution like this is
that you would be able to show pictures also for directories that aren't
an album, for example you could put a cover.jpg in the "Classical"
directory which represents classical music.

The optimal solution would be to do something similar to what
Microsoft's thumbnail view looks like, it automatically scans the sub
directories for images and if it contains more than one it creates an
image with four smaller images.

As a side note, in your example it looks like you like to mix menu
levels as in your example where a directory might contain both sub
hierarchy directories, album directories and maybe even songs. If this
is the case I really think BMF is the easiest way to accomplish this.

Finally, I'm just asking these question to get a better understanding
how you like it to work, someone else will have to do the real work.
