Let's see, this thread started as a complaint by John D regarding my numerous threads.
Then M Christol asked about where I stood on Prop. 19. That's when richardsan, in an attempt to assuage his anti-catholic itch, pointed out (incorrectly) that "katho-licks" would likely oppose then measure, then provided a link to a catholic site that took no position on Prop 19 (or any other CA proposition for that matter.) richardsan didn't take kindly to such criticism, and changed the subject to that of priests that molested children. Prior to that post, there were 8 posts. Since that anti-catholic post by richardsan, there have been 29 posts on the thread. Most of those participating in the public scratching of their anti-catholic itch refuse to acknowledge that pedophilia rates among priests are much lower than in the general population, while their rates of homosexual attraction to young males is about the same as in the general population. Those with the anti-Catholic itch then built strawmen to make their to justify their continued public scratching, some going so far as to imply or state that Catholics approved of the reprehensible behavior by a few bad priests when nothing of the sort was ever claimed by me or any Catholics that I know. None of you anti-Catholics seem to oppose NAMBLA, so I guess you all support the goals and activities of that group. Nor do any of you seem too upset by pedophiles being released from prison, often with the caveat that they don't live near schools or parks used by children, although little is done to enforce those caveats. I don't even believe most of you care that much about child molestation. You'd be just as happy turning a blind eye to it once again after the issue is used to demolish a very good, but imperfect, religios institution. I'd say I hope you have that itch forever, but I don't think any of you are really looking for a cure!
