My 2 S900's run wo the cover OK when I was trying a slew of ram 
tests. Examine your cables as perhaps one of the cables could get 
pushed in the wrong way and then hit another board slightly off 
kilter when the lid is put back. I saw this potential problem with my 
S900 that had cables from this and that and if they weren't 
positioned right, they'd cause trouble. The lid has at least one post 
that could snag something. Good luck.
