Hi you guys! Just got back in town & happened to catch this thread... I wanted to add in here my missing drive experiences.
S900/250/528mb ram/UltraTech-100/Maxtor 7200rpm-40gb HD/ original SCSI 2gb HD/TT video card & MAC OS 9.1 Ever since I installed the Maxtor IDE HD in the S900, (which was several months back) My original SCSI HD doesn't mount on a cold boot. if I want to get to it, I have to RE-boot. Then it shows up, everytime. So Why is that happening??? As for Sybils suggestion... > Have you tried Norton Disk Doctor? While in NDD go to the menu > and click on Disk. The dropdown menu allows you to do a couple > of things, like "show Missing Disks" or "Add custom Disk". > This might help. > Good Luck - Sybil I tried that & after I clicked on ADD, then INFO, it says "Not available because the disk is not mounted". So in the past, when I try something liked "MT. Everything" it will mount the HD, but the next COLD start, it 's Missing again! ***& I have had both sides OFF my S900 ever since January/02 Later, kim :-) -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
