Hi all,
I am undertaking a project to transform my Pulsar into a 4/5 drive
raid server with 4/5 4gig barracuda sca drives (I am using 4 gig drives
as they seem to be the largest capacity which can utilise the inline
80/50 adapter rather than the bulkier version) and having completed the
first step of stripping it down completely to clean and check all the
components - I even cleaned the lasers on the cdr and the cdrw it looks
brand new now - I am about to send for the drives but I have a couple of
questions for the more knowledgable on the list.....
Where is bay seven? I can count only six but my manual states there
are seven internal bays...
And what is the plastic cage thing for at the bottom front of the inside
behind the speaker? I can't seem to get that out for a closer look. Is
that a bay?
Can I use the floppy bay for a hard drive bay? I don't use the
floppy at all.
Where can I place an extra fan in here for best cooling the hard
drives? Bays 3,4,5 and six are mighty close to each other. Or can I
replace the existing fan with a better one?

     Pete in the UK
