Thanks for the suggestions. I think I should be ok with the internal drives, all of them bootable. In addition to the UW 9.1 Barracuda (in three partitions) running on the Miles card, there is a Tempo card controlling the 60 gb 60GXP (in three partitions.) <SNIP> Have a great weekend ! Alan ------- Alan, I have a Miles Initio Blue Note UW card, my self. I haven't tested it yet (I don't think). But there is at minimum a firmware upgrade before it is bootable with a G4 and I vaguely remember some caveat about X compatibility. You might want to check this out . . . wka PS, I say I haven't tested it yet because I'm not sure which UW card is in the Xperiment S900. I also have an Orange Micro UW card that I believe needs a firmware update to boot a G4. I've been busily testing RAM under MacOS 9 and Ramometer for the last two or three days, discovering at least 3 bad DIMMs. Since I'm using both S900s to test memory, I haven't spent much time with X. I will confess that I was moderately impressed with Jaguar and now have to hots to get the X applications that I have already, installed and tested. Also, I'm a long time unix user (going back to XENIX on a Tandy 6000 and Solaris SunOS at work, so I want to install the developer tools, crank up a terminal window, and see what's there. This stuff get addictive if you aren't careful. Have fun. -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
