jaguar is 10.2; i have it running adequately on a beige g3
at present, but it really can use a better video card than the
stock one. lots of RAM is important too. i'd say that a G3 is
the minimum CPU for 10.2. you probably could get it to work
on a stock umax, but it'll probably be pretty d*mn slow.

it's pretty sound (i'm a long time un*x/linux person going back 20 years.)
it's a little different from what i'm used to (i gather that old time nextstep
users find it very comfortable, though, no suprise there.)
