Howie and Jeff, "As Always...." I set up this 3rd machine in my basement, offiice/guest room as a way to learn a little more about "networking" its been fun. I often forget about "what I've learned from this list" and I struggle a bit more than I have to... I even have 2 old copys of the "Macintosh Bible" that I have forgotten about. Howie, thanks for those links I'll be reading. Its interesting what you mentioned about "bootability" I've always assumed the Matshita CR-506 was "not an issue" because I can boot from this drive from Mobo with no problem. "C"key or "Shift Option Control Delete" combinations. In setting up this S900, I'm using 9.2.2, I cloned the drive and installed. In doing this I found an extension conflict that may be another part of my problem here, "Toast CD Reader" I'm checking this out. My reasons for using the Adaptec 2930CU, were simply because, I too was given a B&W G3 sometime ago and removed the card for possible use in the Umax's and I wanted to understand SCSI. Jeff W... the PowerDomain Controller from Adaptec gives me control over "SCSI speed", but am I seeing any real benefit to the devices that are attached? CD drives and a scanner? And Jaquar...I am having a lot of fun (S900#1) and 9.2.2 (S900#2) via KVM switch a lot of discussion here, about Jaquar, very cool, a side note.. I have never had success loading OSX on an IDE drive and I have tried!!! Apple Restore or Carbon Copy has been my only method. SCSI to IDE. Question.. Diagnostic software for Jaquar... Listers what are you using? I need suggestions, I have a old copy of Alsoft's DiskWarrior I need to upgrade Please, Thank-you Phil Meza -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
