I imagine we're talking Ebay for the above drive, unless someone here has
an appropriate drive to sell me. Will I be able to install the 8.6 using
the existing original drive? I imagine the answer is yes. Then when
booting into the new system, there'll be no CD drive until I resolve the
issue.

I've been saving some of the CDROM threads for a while, I'll read through
them to see if I can make sense of the situation as it applies to me. I'll
be coming up on 8.5, then needing to install the upgrade CD portion. I'll
need the correct drive/driver then. Thanks again!
