Maybe it's not working ... really. 640x480 is probably
the default resolution it goes to anyway. The fact
that he can't change it could be a reflection of this.
The computer may not be using the software for the
second card once it detects a monitor for the native
video. The Sapphire card in my 7500/400mHz G3 starts
in 640x480 and switches later in the boot process.
