Maybe it's not working ... really. 640x480 is probably the default resolution it goes to anyway. The fact that he can't change it could be a reflection of this. The computer may not be using the software for the second card once it detects a monitor for the native video. The Sapphire card in my 7500/400mHz G3 starts in 640x480 and switches later in the boot process.

First off Alan is correct.The Twin Turbo is a one monitor only at a time. You will fry your card if you continue to use like this. It is Mac or vga port not both. The Mac port has auto sensing so will adjust for the monitor hooked to it. Some older monitors are one resolution only but most modern ones give you choices. You should be able to choice in either the monitor control panel or the Twin Turbo software if your using it. (OS 8/9 only) Someone asked about the jumper pins. Only a few cards have these. It is for the sync on green setting which is also handled by the Twin Turbo software. But it's nice to have the option for OSX as its on by default on cards without the jumper pins(sync on green is an extra signal needed for old monitors no longer sold) Will S
