If the problem you are having is caused by the slow speed of the external SCSI bus it may be possible to tap onto the internal SCSI bus if its chain is not full. If OSX requires an even faster SCSI speed than that of the S900's internal bus you might consider a PCI 160 SCSI card. I can't imagine the scanner would require such a fast SCSI connection, but maybe OSX does? Before going to the expense I'd want to hear from someone who has done it successfully. Have you posted to any of the Old World Mac lists? Anyone with a Mac 8500 to 9600 should have the same issues we do.Have you posted to the XPostFacto list with this issue? Paul C
