Ugg. Nothing seems to work.
I tried holding down the CUDA switch for 15-20
seconds, and then rebooting via CODA (lots of
acronyms). 
The stupid thing still boots up from the hard drive.

To make matters worse, the Mac Story I usually go to
for repairs just went out of business.

Until I can get an OEM drive (if THAT will even HELP,
at this point), I can only hope to find a mac with a
SCSI set-up so I can load the necessary drivers like
CD-ROM toolkit.

this really sucks.
