If you have lost your fast internal SCSI on the logic board you can
switch the cable to the slower SCSI connector(located just below the
rear vent fan on the board). This will at least tell you if one of your
SCSI chains was lost. Just a thought Paul C

Hi,
Thanks everyone for all your tips and suggestions on how to restore the video
to my S900. I had tried just about everything suggested including switching
back to the original processor and leaving the PRAM battery out overnight,
although I hadn't done them both together which I tried last night to no avail.
Also pulled all the cards I had added before I tried this to recreate the basic
configuration.
Here's one thing that might give a clue to someone. When I try to zap the PRAM
(option-command-P-R), it seems to have no effect. The chimes do not repeat.
They play once, I hear some brief activity in the SCSI drive, the CD-ROM lights
up for awhile as it tries to read the Mac Install CD inside and I can't tell if
the floppy is running or not. I've tried a start-up disk in there too.
