Look at your path in your AUTOEXEC.BAT.  One of the directories listed
doesn't exist anymore.  If I recall correctly what I found the last time
I got that error.

If I'm guessing right, you're getting "the working directory is invalid"
first.  Which would mean that the directory where WINSOCK.DLL or more
likely TCPMAN.EXE is supposed to be, isn't where it is.  So first you
get told that the system didn't find the program where you said it was,
then it searches the path, which includes a directory that doesn't exist
anymore, then it finally finds what it's looking for somewhere down the
path.

Scientifically Weighted Arbitrary Guess, they call that.  <grin>
