USB does have a big disadvantage, strictly speaking it isn't a USB
disadvantage but close enough: The speed of USB is high enough to
allow things like webcams to feed data fast enough. In the past
webcams were always connected to a proprietary card to allow this
kind of speed. That card also contained all hardware necessary to
control the camera. With USB many vendors are putting out
"win"-devices. Most USB webcams are completly handled insoftware
using up a lot of processor cycles.
