Okay, I finally got to it, having gotten distracted by other projects, and
put in the info but got a failure. Since i don't understand what I was
doing in the first place, I don't know why I failed.

this is the session:

C:>MODE COM3:9600,n,8,1

COM3: 9600,n,8,1,-

C:>ECHO AT#CID=1&W0&Y0 > COM3:

Write fault error writing device COM3
Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail?r

Write fault error writing device COM3
Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail?r

Write fault error writing device COM3
Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail?i

Write fault error writing device COM3
Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail?f

Write fault error writing device COM3

Fail on INT 24

C:>

Can explain? I have been unable to find any other ideas at all for solving
this, even updating/patching the application.
The modem is a cardinal 33.6 ext voice on com3 and is no longer supported
by anyone.

Inertia. It's not just an object at rest tends to stay at rest; it's
also an object in motion tends to stay in motion.
