Ahh... Flashable BIOS!  That explains why you could serialize
a BIOS <g>...  A fixed address space could be reserved for the
serial number in the flash image.  It changed by software just
before the whole image get "imprinted" to the BIOS.  Yes, it's
doable...

Furthermore, by including an internet-enabled tracking software
or on each sold PC, the company could identify each of their
products whenever they comes online.  Cool! ;-)
