Or, if the remotehost does not offer ftp access, use
NFS.  Or start a ftp server on the local machine,
telnet to the remote machine and ftp to the local
machine.  Or send the file via email from the local
machine to your account on the remote machine.
Don't give up.  There's always a way to get your
preferred editor onto the remote machine.
