you rode all that way and being a kid and all.
Yup, they should have rewarded his determination.
In retrospect, they should have. I was playing the DOS version, which had a typo in the damn dictionary and was therefore unwinnable unless you typed something like "push hadnle" (instead of "handle"). I don't remember the exact typo, but it was near the very end. Because of this I still never won the game until a hacker friend of mine told me he found the typo when he also got stuck and loaded the game into a debugger to cheat :) This was almost a decade later.
