No you won't have any problems changing the mobile number to whatever area that T-mobile has numbers available. Cingular on the other hand only allows number changes within the same market as the original number. My SIM was also a CA number and changed it with 5 mins of putting in my phone. T-Mobile is very easy when it comes to number changes for all of it's users.
