Carolyn's mentioning of Linux made it clear which kind of Open Source
she is dreaming of and we don't want to go there with this discussion
... not on this mailing list - pleeeze!

But I would like to respond and say a word just in case somebody
wonders about my source code. So far, ONE person has asked for sources
and I denied.  The time will come when I publish it, but at this point
I'd rather spend my time adding features than
debating/integrating/testing other people's addition. 

Suggestions for new features are always welcome, 
suggestions for more patterns even more so,
