Sponsored by TWIST - Tablet Weavers International Studies & Techniques Howdy y'all!
I'm working on a piece that is wider (that is, more tablets) than any I've worked with before - 75 tablets across. It's Size A silk sewing thread, so the actual piece is only about 1 1/4" across - not falling off the loom or anything, and the warp tension is pretty regular. My problem is, I'm having tension issues side to side. It's relatively minor, but it's bugging me. The edges are packing tighter than the middle. I usually can redistribute this kind of thing by pinching and pulling the threads to spread them, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm already using a warp spreader, but can't spread it too wide or the warp will fall off the loom. Here are photos of the work in progress, and a little more detail on the project: http://oakenking.livejournal.com/159243.html Any thoughts are welcome!
