OK, got TC, how do I get it to extract files? Every time I click the msi
file it tries to install.
You need to install a plugin (this is one of TC's strengths.
Go to: <http://www.ghisler.com/addons.htm> look for Packer plugins on the
page and then find the MSI plugin extension.
Then (this is from the installation file included with the plugin):
- unzip the msi.wcx to your Total Commander installation directory
- choose the menu configuration - options
- choose the packer tab
- click the configure packer extension dlls button
- type msi as new extension
- click new type, and select msi.wcx
- click ok
- type msp as new extension
- select msi.wcx
- click ok
