I keep campaigning against the memory leaks, but mostly on TBBETA, I admit. I am not sure whether your bug is the same memory leak that leads to sudden crashes or not. The reason is that several people experienced what you described (cannot close TB) in one earlier version, but it hasn't been confirmed with 2.11.
