Ah yes, but in management, What's good for you and what's good for the
company can get blurred together in some cases. That is, if going
contract is better for you but not as good for the company and the
organization you're working in as a manager, your quality of work life
may take a hit.

Personally, I've been a contractor and I've been a manager, and I
wouldn't want to be both at once.
