You cannot exceed the limitations of the SSF. Keep in mind that network entry from the UE takes time to travel. With SSF1, the allocated time allowed for network entry has a maximum distance of 30km. If you set it to say 10km it will take the value, you just cannot exceed 30km.

It will throw an error as soon as you "commit" if the value provided is out-of-bounds. If I set cell-radius to 31km with SSF 1, as soon as I issue "commit" then it throws this error: - - - BreezeCompact% show deployment frame-structure subframe-Cfg 2; special-subframe-Cfg 1; [ok][2016-11-18 17:09:05] [edit] BreezeCompact% show cell ran-common cell-radius cell-radius 30; [ok][2016-11-18 17:09:07] [edit] BreezeCompact% set cell ran-common cell-radius 31 [ok][2016-11-18 17:09:15] [edit] BreezeCompact% commit Aborted: 'deployment frame-structure' : The value of Special Subframe is invalid [error][2016-11-18 17:09:18] [edit] BreezeCompact% - - - 30 works, 31 doesn't. Same holds true for 20km with SSF 2 and 10km with SSF 3. I was letting the Compact firmware be my guide. -- Nathan From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of SmarterBroadband Sent: Friday, November 18, 2016 2:19 PM To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Subject: Re: [Telrad] Issues Interesting.
