@Mark S. My programming/scripting/coding skills can in no way be compared with yours, and I don't know 1 way or the other if Github is a good alternative to GG.
Nevertheless, I beg to differ with your comment about Github that it " is not a user-friendly, welcoming place." With my primitive skills set I have been using Github for a few years now to post questions, comments, have discussions, and there is nothing user-unfriendly about it. In fact, it is simple and supports markdown (GFM as it's known, as you are undoubtedly aware). As for the "tiny postage size boxes to type in", that is an exaggeration, to put it mildly. The size adjusts automatically to the length of the comment that is typed in it. I don't know if GG should be replaced by another site. I have no problem with GG, apart from the fact that it's Google, but that is irrelevant to the consideration regarding replacement. What IS relevant is that the discussion be based on a set of objective parameters. So far those parameters have not been defined; instead, people have tabled their personal views and preferences. 10 May 2020, 22:44 by [email protected]: > Github is not a user-friendly, welcoming place.
