Another thing is that in some languages (at least Dutch and German)  
there are two versions of 'you' and 'your': the formal and the  
informal one. Dutch has 'u' and 'jij', German has 'du' and 'sie'.

There are three possibilities:
        1. use the informal form
        2. use the formal form
        3. avoid addressing the reader directly ('the ships' instead of  
'your ships')

I've seen all three used in games and software.
