Well, those commands assume a certain type of file. I don't think translation files will fit with that model well. We really want to operate at unit level, not line level, I'd say. We probably want to store it elsewhere anyway, since we don't just want to know who translated string 135, but it would also be nice to collect statistics like "user X translated 265 strings" (even if they were replaced later).
