Hi Slade,

I'm not understanding here.  I see all kinds of colors and details in the directions given to Moses for the construction of the Tabernacle and every one of them is meaningful and functional as well as visual.  Genesis 35:6,7 speaks of Blue and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair, and rams skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood [.....]  Priests garments are the same. God was extremely detailed and quite specific.

No he wasn’t specific. Draw what the curtains looked like. How were the colors weaved? How did the 11 curtains hang? How about the boards? How were they laid? Were they intricately detailed or were they rough-hewn? What did the tabernacle look like? Draw me a detailed picture of the Ark of the Covenant. How about the laver? The altar? What exactly are the “horns” of the altar? How was the curtain separating the Kadosh Kedoshim and the Holy place? How was the priest to enter this curtain? Was it split in two or did he have to enter through a side?

Speaking of the High Priest… How were those 12 stones laid out on his chest… three sets of four… four sets of three or some other pattern? How was his turban wrapped? What did the golden signet that hung from blue cords look like?

Get the point? Moshe was NOT specific in the “essence.” He was expressive in the function of the thing and gave details when necessary so we could “See Messiah” in the things he helped create.
